(AMENDMENT) ACT, 2020

Commencement Notice

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 1(2) of the

Various Financial Services Laws (Amendment) Act, 2020, the

Minister responsible for Finance and Financial Services has

established the following commencement dates with respect to the

following Parts and articles of the said Act, as follows

(a) the 4th March 2020 as the date when the provisions of

Part I, Part II, Part III, Part IV, the provisions of articles 19(a)(i),

19(a)(iii), 19(a)(iv), 19(a)(xi), 19(b)(ii), 20, 21, 22, 23, 29, 32,

33, 36 and 39(c) of Part V, Part VI, Part VII, Part VIII, Part IX,

Part X other than the provisions thereof specified in paragraph

(b) hereunder, and Part XI, shall come into force; and

(b) the 4 th March 2021 as the date when the provisions of

articles 59(k), 59(l), 59(m), 59(n), 60, 64, 65, 66(a), 66(b), 67(a),

67(b), 67(c)(i), 67(d), 67(e)(i), 67(f), 67(g)(ii), 67(g)(iii), 67(h),

67(j), 68(a), 68(b), 68(e)(i), 68(e)(ii), 68(e)(iii)(aa), 68(e)(iv),

68(e)(v), 69(a), 69(b)(i), 69(b)(ii), 69(b)(iii)(aa), 72(b)(i),

72(b)(ii), 79, 80(a), 84(a)(i), 84(a)(iii), 84(b)(i), 84(b)(iii), 84(c),

84(e), 85(a)(ii), 85(a)(v), 86(a), 86(c), 86(h), 86(j), 86(l), 87(c),

92, 93(a)(ii), 93(b), 94(a)(i), 94(a)(iii), 94(a)(iv), 94(b)(i) in Part

X shall come into force.
