(Establishment) (Amendment) Order, 2020

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 26 of the

Public Administration Act, the Prime Minister has made the following

The title of this order is the Community Malta Agency Citation.

(Establishment) (Amendment) Order, 2020 and this order shall be read

and construed as one with the Community Malta Agency L.N.

2020. (Establishment) Order, hereinafter referred to as the "principal Order".

Article 12 of the principal Order shall be substituted by the Substitutes

following new article

"12. (1) The Agency may make payments for

promotional support to Agents every calendar year. In the

event that such payments are made, the amount paid to

each Agent shall be based on the exceptional direct

investment made by an applicant only, excluding

dependants

Provided that such Agent has not been

suspended or has his licence revoked during the previous

twelve (12) months.

(2) Payments in accordance with sub-article (1)

shall be made on the criteria established in the Schedule,

based on the date of submission of the application, and

are exclusive of any taxes.".

The First Schedule to the principal Order shall be Substitutes the

substituted by the following new Schedule

"Schedule

(article 12)

Promotional support to Agents

One per cent (1%) of the exceptional direct investment for up to

ten (10) applicants granted a certificate of naturalisation;

Two per cent (2%) of the exceptional direct investment for more

than ten (10) but less or equal to twenty-five (25) applicants granted a

certificate of naturalisation;

Three per cent (3%) of the exceptional direct investment for more

than twenty-five (25) but less or equal to fifty (50) applicants granted a

certificate of naturalisation;

Four per cent (4%) of the exceptional direct investment for more

than fifty (50) applicants granted a certificate of naturalisation.".
