Individual Investor Programme of the Republic of Malta

(Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2020

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 10(9)(b) and

24 of the Malta Citizenship Act, the President of Malta has made the

following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Individual

commencement.

Investor Programme of the Republic of Malta (Amendment No. 2)

Regulations, 2020 and these regulations shall be read and construed as

one with the Individual Investor Programme of the Republic of Malta

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the "principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force

on 7th March, 2020.

Immediately after sub-regulation (12) of regulation 7 of the

principal regulations, there shall be added the following new sub-

regulation

"(13) In the event of unavoidable circumstances, which

cannot be attributed to the applicant or his Agent, due to which

the terms of sub-regulations (5), (8) and (9) of this regulation

cannot be observed or met, the Agency can extend these terms as

it can be reasonable in these circumstances.".
