Small Ships (Amendment) Regulations, 2019

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 43(1) and (3)

of the Authority for Transport in Malta Act and article 27 of the Ports

and Shipping Act, the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and

Capital Projects, in consultation with the Authority for Transport in

Malta and in concurrence with the Minister for Finance, has made the

following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Small Ships

(Amendment) Regulations, 2019 and they shall be read and construed

as one with the Small Ships Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations".

Immediately after sub-regulation (5) of regulation 32 of the

principal regulations there shall be added the following new sub-

regulation

"(6) The fees payable in respect of the licences to operate

a water-skiing school or a small ship hire outlet and the licences

for the hire or use of small ships issued in terms of this

regulation shall be as established, from time to time, by the

Authority.".

Paragraphs (6) and (7) in the First Schedule to the principal

regulations, shall be deleted.
