Nationality Requirements for Appointments in Public

Administration (Amendment) Regulations, 2019

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon him by article 39 of

the Public Administration Act, the Prime Minister has made the

following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Nationality

Requirements for Appointments in Public Administration

(Amendment) Regulations, 2019, and these regulations shall be read

and construed as one with the Nationality Requirements for

Appointments in Public Administration Regulations, hereinafter

referred to as "the principal regulations".

These regulations shall come into force on the day

following that on which the Treaties of the European Union shall cease

to apply to the United Kingdom unless a Withdrawal Agreement

concluded between the European Union and the United Kingdom has

entered into force on that date.

Sub-regulation (1) of regulation 3 of the principal

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a) in paragraph (e) thereof, the words "Family

Reunification Regulations:" shall be substituted by the words

"Family Reunification Regulations; or"; and

(b) immediately after paragraph (e) thereof as amended,

there shall be added the following new paragraph

"(f) a person holding the status provided for in the

Immigration Status of British Citizens Resident in Malta on

the Withdrawal Date of the United Kingdom from The

European Union Regulations:".
