Limits of Liability (Amendment) Regulations, 2019

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 4 and 23 of

the Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third-Party Risks) Ordinance, the

Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects, with the

concurrence of the Minister of Finance, has made the following

regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Limits of Liability

(Amendment) Regulations, 2019 and they shall be read and construed

as one with the Limits of Liability Regulations, hereinafter referred to

as "the principal regulations".

Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be amended

as follows

(a) in paragraph (a) thereof, the words "five million euro

(€5,000,000)" shall be substituted by the words "six million and

seventy thousand euro (€6,070,000)";

(b) in paragraph (b) thereof, the words "one million euro

(€1,000,000)" shall be substituted by the words "one million two

hundred and twenty thousand euro (€1,220,000)".
