Business Promotion (Amendment) Regulations, 2019

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 59 of the

Business Promotion Act, the Minister for the Economy, Investment

and Small Businesses has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Business Promotion

(Amendment) Regulations, 2019 and these regulations shall be read

and construed as one with the Business Promotion Regulations,

hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

Immediately after sub-regulation (7) of regulation 8 of the

principal regulations, there shall be added the following new sub-

regulation

"(8) No new loans may be granted by the Corporation in

terms of the provisions of this regulation with effect from the

first (1) day of July of the year 2019.".

Immediately after sub-regulation (5) of regulation 9 of the

principal regulations, there shall be added the following new sub-

regulation

"(6) No new subsidies may be granted by the Corporation

in terms of the provisions of this regulation with effect from the

first (1) day of July of the year 2019.".

Immediately after sub-regulation (7) of regulation 10 of the

principal regulations, there shall be added the following new sub-

regulation

"(8) No new loan guarantees may be granted by the

Corporation in terms of the provisions of this regulation with

effect from the first (1) day of July of the year 2019.".
