Grant of Citizenship for Exceptional Services

(Amendment) Regulations, 2019

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 24 of the

Maltese Citizenship Act, the President with the concurrence of the

Minister responsible for finance, has made the following regulations: -

(1) The title of these regulations is the Grant of

commencement.

Citizenship for Exceptional Services (Amendment) Regulations 2019

and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Grant

of Citizenship for Exceptional Services Regulations, hereinafter

referred to as "the principal regulations".

(2)

These regulations shall come into force on the 31st August,

2019.

Immediately after the Second Schedule to the principal

regulations, there shall be added the following new Third Schedule

"Third Schedule

(Regulation 4)

FEES

1. The following fees shall be payable on each application

Application for naturalisation as a citizen of Malta

under these regulations .................................................

(b)

Naturalization certificate issued under these regulations

€50

2. The fees stipulated in this Schedule shall apply in respect of applications and

grants of citizenship under these regulations notwithstanding the provisions of

any other regulations.".
