Traffic Signs and Carriageway Markings

(Amendment) Regulations, 2019

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 54 of the

Traffic Regulation Ordinance and by article 43 of the Authority for

Transport in Malta Act, the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and

Capital Projects, after consultation with the Authority for Transport in

Malta, has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Traffic Signs and Citation.

Carriageway Markings (Amendment) Regulations, 2019 and they shall

be read and construed as one with the Traffic Signs and Carriage Way S.L. 65.05.

Markings Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal

regulations".

2 . Immediately after paragraph (e) of item B of Part III of the Amends the

Schedule to the principal regulations, there shall be added the Schedule

principal

following new paragraphs

regulations.

"(f) This sign conveys the information that the place is

strictly and exclusively reserved for the parking of car sharing

vehicles which have the appropriate car sharing vehicle

registration plate and the appropriate sticker issued by the

Authority affixed to their windscreen. This sign further conveys

the information that vehicles which are parked illegally in this

place will be towed away.

(g) This sign conveys the information that the place is

strictly and exclusively reserved for the parking of electric

vehicles which require the use of electric vehicle charging

pillars. This sign further conveys the information that vehicles

which are parked illegally in this place will be towed away.

"(f) Dan is-sinjal jagħti t-tagħrif li l-post huwa strettament

u esklussivament riżervat għall-ipparkjar ta’ vetturi ta’ car

sharing li jkollhom in-numru ta’ reġistrazzjoni appożitu għall-

vetturi ta’ car sharing u sticker appożita maħruġa mill-Awtorità

mwaħħla fuq il-windscreen tagħhom. Dan is-sinjal jagħti tagħrif

ukoll illi vetturi li jigu parkeġġjati illegalment f’dan il-post jigu

mneħħija.

(g) Dan is-sinjal jagħti t-tagħrif li l-post huwa strettament

u esklussivament riżervat għall-ipparkjar ta’ vetturi li jaħdmu bl-

elettriku li jagħmlu użu minn charging pillars għall-vetturi li

jaħdmu bl-elettriku. Dan is-sinjal jagħti tagħrif ukoll illi vetturi li

jigu parkeġġjati llegalment f’dan il-post jigu mneħħija.
