UNIVERSITY STUDENT SOCIETIES (AMENDMENT)

REGULATIONS, 2019

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon him by articles 74 (5) and 75 (6) of the

Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the University of Malta has promulgated

the following regulations made by the Senate of the University of Malta by virtue

of the powers conferred upon it by articles 75 (3) and 79 (b) and (h) of the said Act

Citation

These regulations may be cited as the University Student Societies

(Amendment) Regulations, 2019, and shall be read and construed as one with the

University Student Societies Regulations, 2019, published as Legal Notice 36 of

2019, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.

Applicability

These regulations shall be applicable as from 15 April, 2019 onwards.

Amendment to regulation 8 of the principal regulations

In the English version, the following paragraph shall be included as the

last bullet paragraph under sub-paragraph (c) of paragraph (iv) of regulation 8.1

“a detailed statement of its current assets as well as its income and

expenditure of the preceding year (supported by receipts) signed by its

legal representatives. The accounts so submitted shall be subject to audit

by the Finance Office of the University; and”
