Investment Aid (July 2014) (Amendment) Regulations, 2018

IN exercise of the powers conferred upon him by article 5 of the

Malta Enterprise Act, the Minister for the Economy, Investment and

Small Business, in consultation with the Malta Enterprise

Corporation, has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Investment Aid (July

2014) Amendment Regulations 2018, and these regulations shall be

read and construed as one with the Investment Aid (July 2014)

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, the definition

"guest house" text shall be deleted

Sub-regulation (1) of regulation 3 of the principal

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a)

for the words "which consists solely of any one or

more of the following activities:", there shall be substituted the

words "which consists solely of the qualifying activities as

specified in the relevant Guidelines.";

(b)

paragraphs (a) (i), (ii), (iii), (b), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g),

(h), (i), (j), (k), (l), (m), (n), (o), and (p) shall be deleted.

Sub-regulation (1) of regulation 4 of the principal

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a) for the words "if:", there shall be substituted the words "if

it is engaged in a disqualifying activity as specified in the relevant

Guidelines:";

(b) paragraphs (a) (i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v), (b), (c) (i) (ii) and (d) of

the first sub-rule thereof shall be deleted.
