Organisation of Working Time (Amendment) Regulations, 2018

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 6 and 48 of

the Employment and Industrial Relations Act, the Minister for

European Affairs and Equality, after consultation with the

Employment Relations Board, has made the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Organization of

commencement.

Working Time (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 and these regulations

shall be read and construed as one with the Organization of Working

Time Regulations, hereinafter referred to as ''the principal

regulations''.

These regulations shall come into force on 1 st January

2019.

Immediately after sub-regulation (1A) of regulation 8 of

the principal regulations, there shall be added the following new sub-

regulation

''(1B) Without prejudice to the provisions of this regulation,

as from the 1st of January 2019, an extra eight (8) hours paid

leave for every worker shall be added to the paid annual leave

entitlement provided for in sub-regulations (1) and (1A), as

announced in the General Estimates for the year 2019.''.
