(CAP. 427)
Appliances Burning Gaseous Fuels Regulations, 2018
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 39 of the
Product Safety Act, the Minister Justice, Culture and Local
Government, on the advice of the Malta Competition and Consumer
Affairs Authority, has made the following regulations:-
The title of these regulations is the Appliances Burning Title.
Gaseous Fuels Regulations, 2018.
(1) These regulations implement the requirements set by Scope.
Regulation (EU) 2016/426 of the European Parliament and of the
Council of 9 March 2016 on appliances burning gaseous fuels and
repealing Directive 2009/142/EC.
(2) The procedures for the assessment and notification of
conformity assessment bodies, and the monitoring of notified bodies
shall be those prescribed in the Method for Designating Conformity
Assessment Bodies Regulations.
(3) With respect to Articles 7(6), 7(7), 7(9), 9(3), 9(4), 9(9),
10(2), 14(4), 15(2), 15(3) of Regulation (EU) 2016/426, the language
used shall be Maltese or English.
The Technical Regulations Division within the Malta Designation of
Competition and Consumer Affairs Authority is the notifying authority notifying
authority.
