Exemption of Duty in Terms of Article 23

(Amendment No. 2) Order, 2018

BY VIRTUE of the powers vested in him by article 23 of the

Duty on Documents and Transfers Act, the Minister for Finance, has

made the following Order:-

Reg. 1 Citation. — 415 tal-2018 – Ordni tal-2018 li jemenda l-Ordni dwar Eżenzjoni mit-Taxxa għall-Finijiet tal-Artikolu 23 (Emenda Nru 2) Open official source

The title of this Order is the Exemption of Duty in Terms of

Article 23 (Amendment No. 2) Order, 2018, and this Order shall be

read and construed as one with the Exemption of Duty in Terms of

Article 23 Order, hereinafter referred to as "the principal Order".

Reg. 2 Amends article 3 of the principal Order. — 415 tal-2018 – Ordni tal-2018 li jemenda l-Ordni dwar Eżenzjoni mit-Taxxa għall-Finijiet tal-Artikolu 23 (Emenda Nru 2) Open official source

Article 3 of the principal Order shall be amended as

follows

(a) the words "before the 1st January 2019," thereof, shall be

substituted by the words "before the 1st January 2020,";

(b) in the second proviso thereof, the words "on or before 28th

February 2019:" shall be substituted by the words "on or before 28th

February 2020:".

Reg. 3 Amends article 4 of the principal Order. — 415 tal-2018 – Ordni tal-2018 li jemenda l-Ordni dwar Eżenzjoni mit-Taxxa għall-Finijiet tal-Artikolu 23 (Emenda Nru 2) Open official source

In paragraph (b) of the first proviso of sub-article (1) of

article 4 of the principal Order, the words "by the 31 st December 2018"

shall be substituted by the words "by the 31 st December 2019", and the

words "by the 28 th February 2019;" shall be substituted by the words

"by the 28 th February 2020;".
