HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONS ACT

(CAP. 464)

Health Care Professions Act (Amendment of the Third, Fourth and

Fifth Schedules) Regulations, 2018

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 51 of the

Health Care Professions Act, the Minister for Health, has made the

following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Health Care Professions Citation.

Act (Amendment of the Third, Fourth and Fifth Schedules)

Regulations, 2018, and these regulations shall be read and construed as

one with the Third, Fourth and Fifth Schedules to the Health Care

Professions Act, hereinafter referred to as "the Third Schedule", "the Cap. 464.

Fourth Schedule" and "the Fifth Schedule" respectively.

In the Third Schedule the word "- Psychotherapy" shall be Amends the

Third Schedule.

deleted.

Part II of the Fourth Schedule shall be amended as follows: Amends the

Fourth

Schedule.

(a) in the Maltese version, under the heading "– Tobba"

immediately after the item "Kulleġġ Malti ta’ Patoloġisti"

thereof, there shall be added the following words

"Kulleġġ Malti tat-Tobba tal-Familja";

(b) under the heading "– Nurses and Midwives"

immediately before the item "Malta Union of Midwives and

Nurses" thereof, there shall be added the following words

"Malta Midwives Association"; and

(c) under the heading " – Professions Complementary to

Medicine" immediately after the item "Malta Dental

Technologists Association" thereof, there shall be added the

following words

"Malta Environmental Health Officers Association".

The item "A. MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS" in the Fifth Amends the

Fifth Schedule.

Schedule, shall be amended as follows

(a)

in the Maltese version the words "4. Dermatolo-

Venerejoloġija" thereof, shall be substituted by the words "4.

Dermato-Venerejoloġija";

(b) the words "19. Geneto-Urinary Medicine" thereof

shall be substituted by the words "19. Genito-Urinary Medicine";

and

(c) in the Maltese version the words "50. Saħħa

PubblikaViroloġija" thereof, shall be substituted by the words

"50. Viroloġija".
