Controlled Parking Schemes (Residents and Commercial)

(Amendment) Regulations, 2018

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 33(d) and 72

of the Local Councils Act and by article 54 of the Traffic Regulations

Ordinance, the Minister for Justice, Culture and Local Government

and the Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects after

consultation with the Authority for Transport in Malta, has made the

following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Controlled Parking

Schemes (Residents and Commercial) (Amendment) Regulations,

2018 and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the

Controlled Parking Schemes (Residents and Commercial) Regulations,

hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, in the definition

"parking disc", the words "outer cover;" shall be substituted by the

words "outer cover," and immediately after the words "on the inner

disc" there shall be added the words", or any other automatic parking

disc indicating the correct auto park time".

Regulation 6 of the principal regulations shall be amended

as follows

(a) in sub-regulation (1) thereof, for the words "the

revolving disc clock indicator of his parking disc" there shall be

substituted the words "the parking disc";

(b) in sub-regulation (2) thereof for the words "as

portrayed in the Fourth Schedule," there shall be substituted the

words "either as portrayed in the Fourth Schedule or the

automatic one,"; and

(c)

sub-regulation (5) thereof shall be deleted.
