Continuation of Tenancies (Means Testing Criteria)

(Amendment) Regulations, 2018

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 1531F and

1622A of the Civil Code the Minister for the Family, Children’s

Rights and Social Solidarity, following consultation with the Minister

for Finance, has made the following regulations

The title of these regulations is the Continuation of

Tenancies (Means Testing) (Amendment) Regulations, 2018 and

these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the

Continuation of Tenancies (Means Testing) Regulations, hereinafter

referred to as the "principal regulations".

Regulation 6 of the principal regulations shall be amended

as follows

(a) in sub-regulation (2) thereof the words "one hundred and

seventy-five thousand euro (€175,000)" shall be substituted by the

words "two hundred thousand euro (€200,000)"

(b) in sub-regulation (3) thereof the words "one hundred and

seventy-five thousand euro ((€175,000)" shall be substituted by the

words "two hundred thousand euro (€200,000)"

(c) in sub-regulation (4) thereof, the words "two hundred

thousand euro (€200,000)" shall be substituted by the words "two

hundred and thirty thousand euro (€230,000)".
