Commencement Notice

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by regulation 1(3)

of the Data Protection (Processing of Personal Data by Competent

Authorities for the Purposes of the Prevention, Investigation,

Detection or Prosecution of Criminal Offences or the Execution of

Criminal Penalties) Regulation, 2018, the Minister for Justice, Culture

and Local Government has established the 28 th May 2018 as the date

when all the provisions of the said regulations shall come into force.
