Correction of Laws Order, 2018

Budget Measures Implementation Act, 2018 (Act VII of 2018)

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 4(1)(i) and (k) of

the Statute Law Revision Act, 1980, the Law Commission has made

the following correction

Article 13 of the Budget Measures Implementation Act,

shall be substituted by the following

(1)

This part amends the Income Tax

"Amendments to the

Act VII of 2018. Income Tax Act.

Act, and shall be read and construed as one with the

Income Tax Act, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal Act".

(2) The provisions of this Part shall be

deemed to have come into force as follows

(a) article 17(a) as from year of assessment

2015;

(b) articles 18(a), 20 and 23(c) as from year

of assessment 2017;

(c) article 16(b)(iii) as from 1st January

2017;

(d) articles 15, 19, 21, 22 and 23(a) and (d) as

from year of assessment 2019; and

(e) article 26 as from year of assessment

2018.".

2. The Minister for Justice, Culture and Local Government

has appointed the 29th March, 2018, as the date on which the

correction made by the Law Commission and published by this Legal

Notice shall be deemed to have come into force.
