Conservation of Wild Birds (Framework for Allowing a

Derogation Opening a Spring Hunting Season for

Turtle Dove and Quail) (Amendment) Regulations, 2017

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 54 and article

55(2) of the Environment Protection Act, the Minister for Sustainable

Development, the Environment and Climate Change has made the

following regulations:-

Reg. 1 Citation. — 82 tal-2017 – Regolamenti tal-2017 li jemendaw ir-Regolamenti dwar Qafas biex tiġi Permessa Deroga li Tiftaħ l-Istaġun għall-Kaċċa tal-Gamiem u Summien fir-Rebbiegħa Open official source

The title of these regulations is the Conservation of Wild

Birds (Framework for Allowing a Derogation Opening A Spring

Hunting Season for Turtle Dove and Quail) (Amendment)

Regulations, 2017, and these regulations shall be read and construed

as one with the Conservation of Wild Birds (Framework for Allowing

a Derogation Opening a Spring Hunting Season for Turtle Dove and

Quail) Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the "principal

regulations".

Reg. 2 Amends regulation 3 of the principal regulations. — 82 tal-2017 – Regolamenti tal-2017 li jemendaw ir-Regolamenti dwar Qafas biex tiġi Permessa Deroga li Tiftaħ l-Istaġun għall-Kaċċa tal-Gamiem u Summien fir-Rebbiegħa Open official source

In regulation 3 of the principal regulations, for the words

"shall be a maximum of three weeks in April of the year for which the

Minister may decide to open the spring hunting season by means of a

notice in the Gazette:" there shall be substituted the words "shall be a

maximum of three weeks which may commence in March or in April

of the year for which the Minister may decide to open the spring

hunting season by means of a notice in the Gazette:".
