Approval and Market Surveillance of Agricultural and Forestry

Vehicles (Amendment) Regulations, 2017

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 38 to 40 of the

Product Safety Act, the Minister for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs

and Civil Liberties, on the advice of the Malta Competition and

Consumer Affairs Authority and the Minister for Transport and

Infrastructure, on the advice of the Authority for Transport in Malta,

have made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Approval and Market Citation.

Surveillance of Agricultural and Forestry Vehicles (Amendment)

Regulations, 2017 and these regulations shall be read and construed as

one with the Approval and Market Surveillance of Agricultural and S.L. 427. 59

Forestry Vehicles Regulations hereinafter referred to as "the principal

regulations".

Regulation 2 of the principal regulations shall be amended Amends

regulation 2 of

as follows

the principal

regulations.

(a)

in paragraph (a) thereof the words "market

surveillance of agricultural and forestry vehicles; and" shall be

substituted by the words "market surveillance of agricultural

and forestry vehicles;"

(b) paragraph (b) thereof shall be renumbered as

paragraph (g); and

(c)

immediately after paragraph (a) thereof there shall

be inserted the following new paragraphs

"(b) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No

1322/2014 of 19 September 2014 supplementing and

amending Regulation (EU) No 167/2013 of the European

Parliament and of the Council with regard to vehicle

construction and general requirements for the approval of

agricultural and forestry vehicles;

(c) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU)

2015/68 of 15 October 2014 supplementing Regulation

(EU) No 167/2013 of the European Parliament and of the

Council with regard to vehicle braking requirements for

the approval of agricultural and forestry vehicles;

(d) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU)

2015/96 of 1 October 2014 supplementing Regulation

(EU) No 167/2013 of the European Parliament and of the

Council as regards environmental and propulsion unit

performance requirements of agricultural and forestry

vehicles;

(e) Commission Delegated Regulation (EU)

2015/208 of 8 December 2014 supplementing Regulation

(EU) No 167/2013 of the European Parliament and of the

Council with regard to vehicle functional safety

requirements for the approval of agricultural and forestry

vehicles;

(f) Commission Implementing Regulation (EU)

2015/504 of 11 March 2015 implementing Regulation (EU)

No 167/2013 of the European Parliament and of the Council

with regard to the administrative requirements for the

approval and market surveillance of agricultural and forestry

vehicles; and".
