Simplifying Terms and Conditions of Transfers of

Defence-Related Products (Amendment) Regulations, 2017

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 3 of the

Supplies and Services Act, the Minister for the Economy, Investment

and Small Business, in concurrence with the Minister for Home

Affairs and National Security, has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Simplifying Terms and Citation and

purpose.

Conditions of Transfers of Defence-Related Products (Amendment)

Regulations, 2017 and these regulations shall be read and construed as

one with the Simplifying Terms and Conditions of Transfers of S.L. 117.32

Defence-Related Products Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations".

Regulation 2 of the principal regulations shall be Substitutes

"2. The objective of these regulations is to implement the

requirements of

(a) Directive 2009/43/EC of the European

Parliament and of the Council of 6 May 2009 on

simplifying terms and conditions of transfers of defence-

related products within the Community and of Commission

Directive 2010/80/EU of 22 November amending Directive

2009/43/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council

as regards the list of defence-related products;

(b) Commission Directive 2012/10/EU amending

Directive 2009/43/EC of the European Parliament and of

the Council as regards the list of defence-related products;

(c)

Commission Directive 2012/47/EU of 14th

December 2012 amending Directive 2009/43/EC of the

European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list

of defence-related products;

(d)

Commission Directive 2014/18/EU of 29th

January 2014 amending Directive 2009/43/EC of the

European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list

of defence-related products;

(e)

Commission Directive 2014/108/EU of 12th

December 2014 amending Directive 2009/43/EC of the

European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list

of defence-related products; and

(f) Commission Directive 2017/433/EU of 7th

March 2017 amending Directive 2009/43/EC of the

European Parliament and of the Council as regards the list

of defence-related products.".

The Annex to the principal regulations shall be substituted

by the following

"SCHEDULE

"The Annex of Commission Directive (EU) 2017/433 shall be

applicable in its entirety as the Schedule to these regulations.".
