Local Councils (Procedures) (Amendment) Regulations, 2017

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 72 of the

Local Councils Act, the Minister responsible for Justice, Culture and

Local Government has made the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Local Councils

(Procedures) (Amendment) Regulations, 2017 and they shall be read

and construed as one with the Local Councils (Procedures)

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the "principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall come into force on such date as the

Minister responsible for Justice, Culture and Local Government may

by notice in the Gazette establish.

In the First Schedule to the principal regulations, the words

"L.C.P. 3/96 – Local Councils (Tendering) Procedures, 1996" shall be

deleted.

The Second Schedule to the principal regulations shall be

amended as follows

(a)

item 1 under the Second Column of the Second

Schedule to the principal regulations which items fall under

"L.C.P. 1/96 – Local Councils (Financial) Procedures, 1996" in

the First Column, shall be deleted;

(b)

the words "L.C.P. 3/96 – Local Councils

(Tendering) Procedures, 1996" in the First Column of the

Second Schedule to the principal regulations shall be deleted;

and

(c)

items 1 to 4 under the Second Column of the

Second Schedule to the principal regulations which items fall

under "L.C.P. 3/96 – Local Councils (Tendering) Procedures,

1996" in the First Column, shall be deleted.
