Local Councils (Street Naming)

(Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2016

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred to him by means of article

72(1) of the Local Councils Act, the Minister for Justice, Culture and

Local Government, in consultation with the Minister for Transport,

and Infrastructure has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Local Councils (Street

Naming) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations, 2016, and these

regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Local

Councils (Street Naming) Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations".

In regulation 3 of the principal regulations, for the words

"by the Minister responsible for Infrastructure in terms of article 115 of

the Code of Police Laws" there shall be substituted the words "by the

Minister responsible for the Electoral Office in terms of article 115 of

the Code of Police Laws".
