Housing Authority (Transfer of Assets) Order, 2016

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 12 of the Housing

Authority Act, the President of Malta has made the following order:-

The title of this order is the Housing Authority (Transfer of

Assets) Order, 2016.

The property described in article 4 of this order is hereby

specified for the purpose of article 12 of the Housing Authority Act.

The property specified in article 2 of this order shall be

transferred and vest in the Housing Authority as provided in the

aforesaid article with effect from the 30th November, 2015.

The property referred to in article 2 of this order is the

following, that is to say

Two plots of land consisting of Plots 4 to 17 and

Plots 26 and 27 in Tal-Qattus Housing Estate, Birkirkara and

these plots fall on Government property acquired by President’s

Declaration No. 800 dated 19th September 2015, President’s

Declaration No. 534 dated 11th June 2015, by Deed No. 228/

2000 dated 7th December 2000 and by Cedola No. 245 dated

26th February 2002, as follows

(a) Plots 4 to 17 are registered with the

Government as Tenements bearing numbers X06495 to

X06508 and are bounded on the North-East by Triq

Anthony Sammut, on the South-East by Triq Manoel de

Vilhena and on the South-West by Triq il-Kan. Dun

Vincenz Saliba. These plots fall on a plot of land shown in

red and marked “A” on plan P.D. 31_92_1; and

(b) Plots 26 and 27 are registered with the

Government as Tenements bearing numbers X06517 and

X06518 respectively and are bounded on the North-East by

property of the Housing Authority or its successors in title,

on the South-East by Triq Joseph A Deacon and on the

South-West by Government property. These plots fall on a

plot of land shown in red and marked “B” on plan P.D.

A site in Triq Santa Liena, Triq Rikardu Taylor,

Triq l-Irlandiżi and Triq San Mark, Bormla and is bounded on

the South by Triq Santa Liena, on the North by Triq San Mark

and on the East by Triq l-Irlandiżi. This site falls on

Government property acquired through Act IV of 1992, by

President’s Declaration No. 1075 dated 20th December 2006, by

President’s Declarations 254 and 255 dated 10th March 2005

and by President’s Declarations 1134 and 1135 dated 1st

December 2003 and is shown edged in red on plan P.D.

Two plots of land consisting of Plots 1 to 11 and

Plots 12 to 23 in tat-Torri Housing Estate, Rabat and these plots

fall on Government property acquired by President’s

Declarations 923 and 924 dated 24th September 2015, as

follows

(a) Plots 1 to 11 are bounded on the North by

Triq tat-Torri, on the East by Triq Pawlu Xuereb and on the

South by Triq V.M. Pellegrini and are shown edged in red

and marked “A” on plan P.D. 2015_0821; and

(b) Plots 12 to 23 are bounded on the North by

Triq tat-Torri on the West by Triq Pawlu Xuereb and on the

South by Triq V.M. Pellegrini and are shown edged in red

and marked “B” on plan P.D. 2015_0821. (HAM 848/88).

A block, known as Block A, consisting of five flats

of which two are being excluded from the transfer as they were

already transferred by a previous legal notice, in ex-Flores

College, Triq l-Arċisqof, Valletta. This block is bounded on the

South-East by Government property, on the North-East by Triq

l-Arċisqof and on the North-West by property of the Housing

Authority or its successors in title. Flats numbered 2 to 4 are

registered with the Government as Tenements bearing numbers

68793 to 68795. This block falls on Government property

formerly part of Tenement No. 83215 and is shown edged in red

on plan P.D. 2015_0938. (HAA 24/2015).

A block, known as Block 3, consisting of sixteen

flats in Old Prison Block, Triq il-Mediterran, Valletta. This

block is bounded on the South-East by Triq il-Mediterran, on

the North-East by Triq San Duminku and on the South-West by

property of the Housing Authority or its successors in title. Flats

numbered 1 to 8 are registered with the Government as

Tenements bearing numbers 63026 to 63033, flat numbered 9 is

registered with the Government as Tenement No. X52177, flats

numbered 10 to 14 are registered with the Government as

Tenements bearing numbers 63035 to 63039 and flats numbered

15 and 16 are registered with the Government as Tenements

bearing numbers X51797 and X51798 respectively. This block

falls on Government property which has been leased for over 30

years and the whole block is shown edged in red on plan P.D.

A plot of land, consisting of Plots 81 to 83

registered with the Government as Tenements bearing numbers

X07206 to X07208 in tal-Bebbux II Estate, Żurrieq. These plots

are bounded on the North-West by Triq Napuljun, on the North-

East by Triq l-Għadir and on the South-East by Triq Mons P. P.

Pullicino. These plots fall on Government property formerly

part of Tenement No. 50821E and on land acquired by

President’s Declaration No. 308 dated 7th March 2012 and is

shown edged in red on plan P.D. 11_88_8. (HAM 181/82).
