CONSTITUTION OF MALTA

Public Service Commission Appointments

(Amendment) Regulations, 2016

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 121 of the

Constitution of Malta, the Public Service Commission has, with the

consent of the Prime Minister, made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is Public Service Commission Citation.

Appointments (Amendment) Regulations, 2016, and these regulations

shall be read and construed as one with the Public Service L.N.

2015. Commission Appointments Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the

principal regulations.

The Arrangement of Regulations to the principal Amends the

Arrangement of

regulations shall be amended as follows

in item 6 thereof, for the words "than one official regulations.

(f)

in the Maltese version of item 24 thereof, for the

words "mill-applikanti" there shall be substituted the words

"minn applikanti";

(g) in the Maltese version of item 28 thereof, for the

words "li tieħu" there shall be substituted the words "għandha

tieħu";

(h) in item 32 thereof, for the words "to recommend"

there shall be substituted the words "to recommend the

revocation of appointments"; and

(i)

in the Maltese version of item 34 thereof, for the

words "barra mill-proċessi ta’ għażla" there shall be substituted

the words "li mhumiex il-proċessi ta’ għażla".

The Maltese version of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 2

of the principal regulations shall be amended as follows

(a)

in paragraph (b) of the definition "akkomodazzjoni

raġjonevoli", for the words "ir-ristrutturar mill-ġdid tax-xogħol"

there shall be substituted the words "ir-ristrutturar tax-xogħol";

and

(b) in paragraph (ċ) of the definition "kap ta’

dipartiment", for the words "il-kap ta’ xi dipartiment" there

shall be substituted the words "il-kap ta’ kull dipartiment".

In the Maltese version of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 4

of the principal regulations, for the words "Il-Kap ta’ Dipartiment

m’għandux jirrikjedi" there shall be substituted the words "Kap ta’

Dipartiment m’għandux ikollu bżonn".

In the marginal note to regulation 6 of the principal

regulations, for the words "in more than one official language" there

shall be substituted the words "in more than one language".

The Maltese version of sub-regulation (2) of regulation 12

of the principal regulations shall be amended as follows

(a)

in paragraph (ċ) thereof, for the words "għall-Kamra

tad-Deputati" there shall be substituted the words "għall-Kamra

tad-Deputati ta’ Malta"; and

(b) in paragraph (e) thereof, for the words "lill-

applikanti" there shall be substituted the words "lil applikanti".

The Maltese version of sub-regulation (2) of regulation 13

of the principal regulations shall be amended as follows

(a)

for the words "dak il-mekkaniżmu għandu" there

shall be substituted the words "dak il-mekkaniżmu jista’"; and

(b) in the proviso thereof, for the words "jagħtu lok lil

bord" there shall be substituted the words "jagħtu lok lill-bord".

In the Maltese version of the marginal note to regulation

14 of the principal regulations, for the words "minn tal-bordijiet"

there shall be substituted the words "mill-bordijiet".

The Maltese version of regulation 15 of the principal Amends

The Maltese version of regulation 32 of the principal

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a)

(b) in sub-regulation (3) thereof, for the words "lil

persuna" there shall be substituted the words "lill-persuna".

The Maltese version of regulation 34 of the principal

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a)

in sub-regulation (2) thereof, for the words "tal-

proċess" there shall be substituted the words "ta’ proċess"; and

for the words "kull kondizzjoni kolla" there shall be substituted

the words "kull kondizzjoni"; and

(b) in sub-regulation (3) thereof, for the words "fir-

rigward tagħhom" there shall be substituted the words "fl-

imsemmija mili ta’ vakanzi".

The Maltese version of regulation 36 of the principal

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a)

in sub-regulation (1) thereof, for the word

"jappaertjenu" there shall be substituted the word "tappartjeni";

and

(b) in paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (1) thereof, for the

words "ma’ dak il-għan" there shall be substituted the words

"magħhom".
