University Postgraduate Awards (Amendment) Regulations, 2016

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred upon him by articles 74 (5) and 75 (6) of the

Education Act (Cap. 327), the Chancellor of the University of Malta has promulgated

the following regulations made by the Senate of the University of Malta by virtue of

the powers conferred upon it by articles 75 (3) and 79 (b) of the said Act

Citation

These regulations may be cited as the University Postgraduate Awards

(Amendment) Regulations, 2016 and shall be read and construed as one with the

General Regulations for University Postgraduate Awards, published as Legal Notice

120 of 2008, hereinafter referred to as “the principal regulations”.

Applicability

These regulations shall be applicable from 19 September, 2015 onwards.

Amendment to regulation 29 of the principal regulations

The following paragraph (4) shall be added after paragraph (3) of

regulation 29 of the principal regulations

“(4) If a student fails in a practicum whose minimum pass mark is indicated

in the course bye-laws as 55%, the maximum grade/mark that can be awarded after

reassessment, shall be 55%/Grade C.”

Paragraphs (4) and (5) of regulation 29 of the principal regulations shall

be renumbered as paragraphs (5) and (6).
