LOCAL COUNCILS ACT

Local Councils (Street Naming) Amendment Regulations, 2016

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred to him by means of article

72(1) of the Local Councils Act, the Minister for Justice, Culture and

Local Government, in consultation with the Minister for Transport,

and Infrastructure has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Local Councils (Street

Naming) (Amendment) Regulations, 2016, and these regulations shall

be read and construed as one with the Local Councils (Street Naming)

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, for the words

"the Local Council of that locality submits its recommendation to the

Minister responsible for Infrastructure" there shall be substituted the

words "the Local Council of the locality submits its recommendation

to the Minister responsible for the Electoral Office".
