Fees for Air Operators’ Certificates (Amendment)
Regulations, 2016
IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by articles 11 and 12 of
the Civil Aviation (Air Operators’ Certificates) Act, the Minister for
Tourism, with the concurrence of the Minister for Finance, has made
the following regulations:-
The title of these regulations is the Fees for Air Operators’ Citation.
Certificates (Amendment) Regulations, 2016, and these regulations
shall be read and construed as one with the Fees for Air Operators’ S.L. 218.01
Certificates Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principak
regulations".
Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be Substitutes

"3. The fees established in the Schedule shall be
payable by an applicant to the Director for
(a)
the grant of an air operator’s certificate;
(b)
the variation of an air operator’s certificate;
(c) the oversight of the operations of the holder
of the air operator’s certificate.".
Immediately after paragraph 2.6 in the Schedule to the Amends the
principal regulations, there shall be added the following new Schedule
principal
paragraph
regulations.
"3. Charges for the oversight of the operations of the
holder of the air operator’s certificate.
The Director shall charge the following oversight fee on an
annual basis from the issuance of the Air Operator’s Certificate
for the oversight by the Director of Civil Aviation of the
operations of the holder of the Air Operator’s Certificate,
depending on the maximum total weight authorised of the
heaviest aircraft listed in the Air Operator’s Certificate as
follows
