SWIMMING POOLS (CONTROL) ACT

(CAP. 244)

Control of Swimming Pools (Amendment) Regulations, 2015

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 4 of the

Swimming Pools (Control) Act, the Minister for Energy and Health,

in consultation with the Minister for Finance, has made the following

regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Control of

Swimming Pools (Amendment) Regulations, 2015, and these

regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Control of

Swimming Pools Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the

principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force

on 1st January, 2015.

Schedule 1 to the principal regulations shall be substituted

by the following

"Schedule 1

(Regulation 7)

Fees to be paid by the applicant to the Malta Resources Authority for the issue or

renewal of a permit to construct or for a licence to operate

or use a swimming pool.

For a swimming pool used solely and exclusively

by the applicant and his family

(i)

with fresh water ...........................................

€4.60 per m 3 capacity

(ii) with sea water according to regulation 6(2) ..

€100.00

For a swimming pool used solely and exclusively

by a philanthropic society ........................................

nil

For any other swimming pool

(a) used with fresh water ...................................

€6.90 per m 3 capacity
