Master of Notarial Studies Order, 2015

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by paragraph (c) of sub-

article (1) of article 6 of the Notarial Profession and Notarial

Archives Act, the Minister for Justice, Culture and Local

Government, after consultation with the Senate of the University of

Malta, has made the following Order:-

The title of this Order is the Master of Notarial Studies

Order, 2015.

For the purposes of, and in terms of, article 6(1)(c) of the

Notarial Profession and Notarial Archives Act, the degree of Master

of Notarial Studies (M. Not. Stud.) approved by the Senate of the

University of Malta as required by article 81(2) of the Education Act

and offered by the Faculty of Laws of the University of Malta, as

published in the Gazette by the Bye-Laws for the Degree of Master of

Advocacy - M.Adv. - and for the Degree of Master of Notarial Studies

- M.Not.St. - under the auspices of the Faculty of Laws, is hereby

prescribed as the other qualification at master’s level in terms of

article 6(1)(c) which entitles a holder thereof to sit for the

examination to obtain a warrant to practice as a notary public.
