Petitions (Local Tribunals) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 13 of the

Commissioners for Justice Act, the Minister for Justice, Culture and

Local Government has made the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Petitions (Local

Tribunals) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015, and these regulations

shall be read and construed as one with the Petitions (Local

Tribunals) Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal

regulations".

(2) These regulations shall come into force on the 1st October,

2015.

Immediately after the definition "Act" in regulation 2 of

the principal regulations, there shall be added the following new

definition

" "the Agency” means the Local

Enforcement System Agency established by the

Local Enforcement System (Establishment as an

Agency) Order;".

Regulation 5 of the principal regulations shall be amended

as follows

(a) in sub-regulation (2) thereof, for the words "and this

shall immediately be forwarded for the comments of the

Authorised Officer or the Police, as applicable. The Authorised

Officer or the Police shall" there shall be substituted the words

"and this shall immediately be forwarded for the comments of

the Agency or the Police, as applicable. The Agency or the

Police shall";

(b) in sub-regulation (3) thereof, for the words "the

comments of the Authorised Officer" there shall be substituted

the words "the comments of the Agency"; and for the words

"the comments from the Authorised Officer" there shall be

substituted the words "the comments from the Agency"; and

(c)

in sub-regulation (4) thereof, for the words "If the

Authorised Officer" there shall be substituted the words "If the

Agency".
