Motor Vehicles (Exchange of Data) (Amendment)

Regulations, 2015

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 43 of the

Authority for Transport in Malta Act, the Minister for Transport and

Infrastructure has, after consultation with the Authority for Transport

in Malta, made the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Motor Vehicles

(Exchange of Data) (Amendment) Regulations, 2015, and these

regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Motor

Vehicles (Exchange of Data) Regulations, hereinafter referred to as

"the principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall come into force on 6th May, 2015.

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, for the

definition "the Directive" there shall be substituted the following new

definition

" "the Directive" means Directive 2015/413/EU of the

European Parliament and of the Council of 11 March, 2015

facilitating the cross-border exchange of information on road

safety related traffic offences, as may be amended;".
