FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION AND AUDIT ACT

(CAP. 174)

Public Procurement (Amendment) Regulations, 2014

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 4 of the

Financial Administration and Audit Act, the Minister for Finance has

made the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Public

Procurement (Amendment) Regulations, 2014, and these regulations

shall be read and construed as one with the Public Procurement

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as the "principal regulations".

(2) The purpose of these regulations is to implement

Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1336/2013 of 13 December 2013

amending Directives 2004/17/EC, 2004/18/EC and 2009/81/EC of the

European Parliament and of the Council in respect of the application

thresholds for the procedures for the awards of contract.

In sub-regulation (2) of regulation 55 of the principal

regulations, for the words and figure "two hundred thousand euro

(€200,000)" there shall be substituted the words and figure "two

hundred and seven thousand euro (€207,000)".

Regulation 58 of the principal regulations shall be

amended as follows

(a)

in paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (3) thereof, for

the words and figure "one hundred and thirty thousand euro

(€130,000)", there shall be substituted the words and figure

"one hundred thirty-four thousand euro (€ 134,000)";

(b) in paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (3) thereof, for

the words and figure "two hundred thousand euro (€200,000)",

there shall be substituted the words and figure "two hundred and

seven thousand euro (€207,000)"; and

(c)

in paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (3) thereof, for

the words and figure "two hundred thousand euro (€200,000)",

there shall be substituted the words and figure "two hundred and

seven thousand euro (€207,000)".
