Local Tribunals (Establishment of Tribunals and Designation

of Registry, Registrar and Other Officers)

(Amendment) Regulations, 2014

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 13 of the

Commissioners for Justice Act, the Minister for Justice, Culture and

Local Government has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Local Tribunals

(Establishment of Tribunals and Designation of Registry, Registrar

and Other Officers) (Amendment) Regulations, 2014, and these

regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Local

Tribunals (Establishment of Tribunals and Designation of Registry,

Registrar and Other Officers) Regulations hereinafter referred to as

the "principal regulations".

In the definition "Tribunal" in regulation 2 of the principal

regulations, for the words "means the Local Tribunals set up" there

shall be substituted the words "means the Local or Regional Tribunals

set up".

Regulation 3 of the principal regulations shall be

substituted by the following.

"3. Tribunals shall be established in the following

localities

(a)

Qormi;

(b)

San Ġwann;

(c)

St. Paul’s Bay;

(d)

Żejtun; and

(e)

Xewkija, Gozo.".
