Arrears of Motor Vehicles Licence Fees

(Regularisation)(Amendment) Regulations, 2014

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 54 of the Traffic

Regulation Ordinance and by article 20 of the Motor Vehicles

Registration and Licensing Act, the Minister for Transport and

Infrastructure, in concurrence with the Minister for Finance, and after

consultation with the Authority for Transport in Malta, has made the

following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Arrears of Motor

Vehicle Licence Fees (Regularisation) (Amendment) Regulations,

2014, and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with

the Arrears of Motor Vehicle Licence Fees (Regularisation)

Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

(2) These regulations shall be deemed to have come into force

on the 1st January, 2014.

In regulation 4 of the principal regulations, for the words

"until the 31st December, 2013" there shall be substituted the words

"until the 31st March, 2015".

In paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (1) of regulation 5 of the

principal regulations, for the words "has not been scrapped or is not

being scrapped" there shall be substituted the words "has not been

scrapped or garaged or is not being scrapped or garaged".
