Plant Quarantine (Harmful Organisms)

(Amendment) Regulations, 2014

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 32 of the Plant

Quarantine Act, the Minister for Sustainable Development, the

Environment and Climate Change, in conjunction with the

Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries and Animal

Rights, has made the following regulations:-

(1) The title of these regulations is the Plant Quarantine Citation and

(Harmful Organisms) (Amendment) Regulations, 2014, and these scope.

(2) These regulations transpose Commission Implementing

Directive 2014/19/EU of 6 February 2014 amending Annex I to

Council Directive 2000/29/EC on protective measures against the

introduction into the Community of organisms harmful to plants or

plant products and against their spread within the Community.
