ARMS ACT

(CAP. 480)

Arms Act (Amendment of Schedules) Regulations, 2013

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 65(h) of the

Arms Act, the Minister for Home Affairs has made the following

regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Arms Act (Amendment Citation.

of Schedules) Regulations, 2013, and these regulations shall be read

and construed as one with the Schedules of the Arms Act, hereinafter Cap. 480.

referred to as "the Schedules".

The Schedules shall be amended as follows

Amends the

Schedules.

(a)

item 5 of Part I of Schedule I shall be deleted;

(b)

immediately after Item 5 of Part II of Schedule I

there shall be added the following new items

"6.

Sling Shots

Stun Guns";

(c)

Part I of Schedule II shall be amended as follows

(i)

item 1 thereof shall be substituted by the

following

"1. Semi-automatic

or

repeating

short

firearms"; and

(ii) item 7 thereof shall be substituted by the

following

"7. Fire arms manufactured to exclusively fire

blank shots";

(d)

Part II of Schedule II shall be amended as follows

(i)

item 1 thereof shall be substituted by the

following

"1.

Crossbows and bows with a peak pulling

weight over 60 pounds"; and

(ii) item 2 thereof shall be deleted; and

(e)

Schedule III shall be amended as follows

(i)

the heading "PART I - FIREARMS" shall be

deleted;

(ii)

item 4 thereof shall be substituted by the

following

"4. Firearms designed for alarm, signalling or

life-saving";

(iii) immediately after the item 4 thereof there

shall be added the following new item

"5.

Airsoft and Paintball guns"; and

(iv) Part II thereof shall be deleted.
