Dangerous Substances (Amendment) Regulations, 2013

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 39 of the Product

Safety Act, the Minister for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and

Civil Liberties, on the advice of the Malta Competition and Consumer

Affairs Authority, has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Dangerous Substances Citation.

(Amendment) Regulations, 2013, and these regulations shall be read

and construed as one with the Dangerous Substances Regulations, S.L. 427.14

hereinafter referred to as "the principal regulations".

These regulations implement the provisions of Council Scope.

Directive 2013/21/EU of 13 May 2013 adapting Council Directive

67/548/EEC and Directive 1999/45/EC of the European Parliament

and of the Council in the field of environment, by reason of the

accession of the Republic of Croatia.

Immediately after item (xxxix) in the definition "the Amends

Directive" in sub-regulation (1) of regulation 3 of the principal regulation

the principal

regulations, there shall be added the following new item

regulations.

"(xl) Directive 2013/21/EC (OJ L 158, 10.6.2013, p.

240-355):".
