ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PLANNING ACT

(CAP. 504)

Commencement Notice of the Waste Management (Supervision

and Control of Shipments of Radioactive Waste and Spent Fuel)

Regulations, 2009

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 61 of the

Environment and Development Planning Act and in terms of

regulation 1(2) of the Waste Management (Supervision and Control

of Shipments of Radioactive Waste and Spent Fuel) Regulations,

2009, as published by Legal Notice 48 of 2009, the Minister for

Sustainable Development, the Environment and Climate Change,

after consultation with the Malta Environment and Planning

Authority, has established the 4th day of October, 2013, as the date

when the said regulations shall come into force.
