Extradition (Republic of Iceland and Kingdom of Norway)

(Amendment) Order, 2013

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 7 of the

Extradition Act, the Parliamentary Secretary for Justicehas made the

following Order:-

Reg. 1 Citation. — 245 tal-2013 – Ordni tal-2013 li jemenda l-Ordni dwar l-Estradizzjoni (Repubblika tal-Islanda u r-Renju tan-Norveġja) Open official source

The title of this Order is the Extradition (Republic of

Iceland and Kingdom of Norway) (Amendment) Order, 2013, and this

Order shall be read and construed as one with the Extradition

(Republic of Iceland and Kingdom of Norway) Order, hereinafter

referred to as "the principal Order".

Reg. 2 Amends article 6A of the follows: principal Order. — 245 tal-2013 – Ordni tal-2013 li jemenda l-Ordni dwar l-Estradizzjoni (Repubblika tal-Islanda u r-Renju tan-Norveġja) Open official source

Article 6A of the principal Order shall be amended as

(a)

the marginal note thereof shall be substituted by the

following: "Schengen Information System Article 26 alerts.";

(b)

sub-article (1) thereof shall be substituted by the

following

"(1) This article applies in a case where an Article

26 alert is issued in the Schengen Information System by

an authority of a scheduled country."; and

(c)

sub-article (4) thereof shall be substituted by the

following

"(4) An Article 26 alert is an alert issued pursuant

to Article 26 of Council Decision 2007/533/JHA of 12

June 2007 on the establishment, operation and use of the

second generation Schenhen Information System (SIS

II).".
