Protocol on the Concerns of the Irish People

on the Treaty of Lisbon Order, 2013

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 2(2) of the

European Union Act, the Prime Minister has made the following

Order:-

The title of this Order is the Protocol on the Concerns of

the Irish People on the Treaty of Lisbon Order, 2013.

In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires

"the Act" means the European Union Act;

"the Protocol" means the Protocol on the Concerns of the Irish

People on the Treaty of Lisbon signed in Brussels on the 16th May,

2012.

For the purposes of article 2(2) of the Act, it is hereby

declared that the Protocol shall be deemed as one with the Treaty on

European Union and the Treaty on the Functioning of the European

Union as soon as the Protocol comes into force in accordance with the

provisions of Article 4 thereof and in accordance with the

Declaration, signed by Heads of State or of Government of the 27

Member States of the European Union during the meeting of the

Council of the European Union held on the 18th and 19th June, 2009.
