TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDINANCE
(CAP. 65)
Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment)
Regulations, 2012
IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 54 of the Traffic
Regulation Ordinance, the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and
Communications, after consultation with the Authority for Transport
in Malta, has made the following regulations:-
(1) The title of these regulations is the Motor Vehicles Citation and
(Driving Licences) (Amendment) Regulations, 2012, and these commencement.
regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Motor S.L.65.18
Vehicles (Driving Licences) Regulations, hereinafter referred to as
"the principal regulations".
(2) These regulations shall come into force on 26th March,
2012.
Part 2 of the Second Schedule to the principal regulations Amends the
Second
shall be substituted by the following
Schedule to the
principal
regulations.
"Part 2
Obtaining or holding a driving licence with effect from
the 19th January, 2013
(a) Subject to paragraph (b), the minimum ages for obtaining
or holding a driving licence shall be the following

(b) Where a person holds a certificate of professional

the minimum age for obtaining or holding the relative driving licence
