(CAP. 427)
Type Approval of Agricultural or Forestry Tractors
(Amendment) Regulations, 2012
IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 38 to 40 of the
Product Safety Act, Minister for Fair Competition, Small Business
and Consumers, on the advice of the Malta Competition and
Consumer Affairs Authority, has made the following regulations:-
(1) The title of these regulations is the Type Approval of Citation and
Agricultural or Forestry Tractors (Amendment) Regulations, 2012 scope.
and these regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Type
Approval Agricultural or Forestry Tractors Regulations, hereinafter S.L. 427.59
referred to as "the principal regulations".
(2) These regulations implement the provisions of the
following Directives
(a) Directive 2011/72/EU of the European Parliament
and of the Council of 14 September 2011 amending Directive
2000/25/EC as regards the provisions for tractors placed on the
market under the flexibility scheme; and
(b) Directive 2011/87/EU of the European Parliament
and the Council of 16 November 2011amending Directive 2000/
25/EC as regards the application of emission stages for narrow-
track tractors.
Schedule VIII to the principal regulations shall be Substitutes
Schedule VIII to
substituted by the following new schedule
