Organisation of Working Time (Amendment) Regulations, 2012

IN exercise of the powers conferred by articles 6 and 48(2) of

the Employment and Industrial Relations Act, 2002, the Minister for

Justice, Dialogue and the Family has made the following regulations:-

The title of these regulations is the Organisation of

Working Time (Amendment) Regulations, 2012, and these

regulations shall be read and construed as one with the Organisation

of Working Time Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal

regulations".

Regulation 8 of the principal regulations shall be amended

as follows

(a)

in sub-regulation (1) thereof, for the words "four

working days" there shall be substituted the words "thirty-two

hours"; and

(b) in the Maltese version of sub-regulation (4) thereof,

the word "mhux" shall be deleted.

In regulation 12 of the principal regulations, for the words

"to the satisfaction of the Occupational Health and Safety Authority"

there shall be substituted the words "in accordance with the same

General Provisions for Health and Safety at Workplaces

Regulations".

In regulation 14 of the principal regulations, for the words

"regulation 17" there shall be substituted the words "regulation 18".
