Postal Services Act (Amendment of the Second

Schedule),Regulations, 2012

IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by article 20 of

the Postal Services Act, the Minister for the Infrastructure,

Transport and Communications, after consultation with the Malta

Communications Authority, has made the following regulations

The title of these regulations is the Postal Services Act

(Amendment of the Second Schedule) Regulations, 2012 and they

shall be read and construed as one with the Second Schedule to the

Act, hereinafter referred to as the “Second Schedule”.

Immediately after paragraph 2 of the Second Schedule Amends the Second

there shall be added the following new paragraph

“3. As from the 1st January 2013 the services reserved

under this Schedule shall no longer be reserved for the

universal services provider designated in accordance with this

Act.”.

BIS-SAĦĦA tas-setgħat mogħtija skont l-artikolu 20 tal-Att

dwar is-Servizzi Postali, il-Ministru għall-Infrastruttura, Trasport

u l-Komunikazzjoni, wara konsultazzjoni mal-Awtorita` ta’ Malta

dwar il-Komunikazzjoni, għamel dawn ir-regolamenti li ġejjin

1. (1) It-titolu ta’ dawn ir-regolamenti hu r-Regolamenti

tal-2012 li jemendaw it-Tieni Skeda li tinsab mal-Att hawn iżjed ’il

quddiem imsejħa “it-Tieni Skeda”.

2. Minnufih wara l-paragrafu 2 li jinsab mat-Tieni Skeda

għandu jiżdied dan il-paragrafu ġdid li ġej

“3. Mill-1 ta’ Jannar 2013 is-servizzi riservati taħt

din l-iSkeda ma jibqgħux aktar riżervati għall-provditur ta’

servizz universali skont dan l-Att.”.
