Overtime (Amendment) Regulations, 2012

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 48 of the

Employment and Industrial Relations Act, the Minister for Justice,

Dialogue and the Family has made the following regulations:–

The title of these regulations is the Overtime (Amendment)

Regulations, 2012 and they shall be read and construed as one with

the Overtime Regulations, hereinafter referred to as "the principal

regulations".

In sub-regulation (1) of regulation 3 of the principal

regulations the words "Subject to sub-regulation 4" shall be

substituted by the words "Subject to regulation 9A of the Protection

of Maternity (Employment) Regulations".

Regulation 5 of the Maltese version of the principal

regulations shall be amended as follows

(a)

in subregulation (4) thereof, the words "għandhom

jiāu eskluŜi" shall be substituted by the words "għandha tiāi

eskluŜa" and the words "għandhom jitħallsu" shall be

substituted by the words "għandha titħallas";

(b)

in subparagraph (i) of paragraph (e) of

subregulation (5) thereof, the words "jaqbŜu s-sigħat normali"

shall be substituted by the words "jaqbeŜ is-sigħat normali"; and

(ë)

in subregulation (7) thereof, the word "jispeëifika"

shall be substituted by the word "tispeëifika" and the words "ma

għandux japplika" shall be substituted by the words "ma

għandiex tapplika".

In sub-regulation (1) of regulation 7 of the principal

regulations, the words "regulation 5(c)" shall be substituted by the

words "regulation 5(5)(c)".
