Enforcement of Sea Fishing Conventions (Amendment) Order,

BY VIRTUE of the powers conferred by article 32 of the

Fisheries Conservation and Management Act, the Minister for

Resources and Rural Affairs, has made the following Order:-

Reg. 1 Citation. — 282 tal-2011 – Ordni tal-2011 li Jemenda l-Ordni dwar l-Infurzar ta’ Konvenzjonijiet dwar Sajd fuq il-Baħar Open official source

The title of this Order is the Enforcement of Sea Fishing

Conventions (Amendment) Order, 2011 and it shall be read and

construed as one with the Enforcement of Sea Fishing Conventions

Order, 2011, hereinafter referred to as the “principal order”.

Reg. 2 Amends the Schedule to the principal order. — 282 tal-2011 – Ordni tal-2011 li Jemenda l-Ordni dwar l-Infurzar ta’ Konvenzjonijiet dwar Sajd fuq il-Baħar Open official source

The Schedule to the principal order shall be amended as

follows

(a) in Section “04.10.10 - Structural measures”

immediately after the words “Council Regulation (EC) No

744/2008 of 24 July 2008 instituting a temporary specific

action aiming to promote the restructuring of the European

Community fishing fleets affected by the economic crisis;”

there shall be added the following

“Council Regulation (EC) No 302/2009 of 6 April

2009 Concerning a Multiannual Recovery Plan for

Bluefin Tuna in the Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean,

amending Regulation (EC) No 43/2009 and repealing

Regulation (EC) NO 1559/2007;

Council Regulation (EC) No 1967/2006 of 21

December 2006 Concerning Management measures for

the Sustainable Exploitation of Fishery Resources in

the Mediterranean Sea, amending Regulation (EEC) No

2847/93 and repealing Regulation (EC) No 1626/94; ”;

and

(b) in Section “04.10.30 - Conservation measures”

immediately after the words “Council Regulation (EC)

No 1256/2010 of 17 December 2010 fixing the fishing

opportunities for certain fish stocks applicable in the Black

Sea for 2011;” there shall be added the following

“Regulation (EU) No 579/2011 of 8 June 2011

amending Council Regulation (EC) NO 850/98 for the

conservation of fishery resources through the technical

measures for the protection of juveniles of marine

organisms and Council Regulation (EC) No 1288/2009

establishing transitional technical measures from 1

January 2010 to 30 June 2011;”.
