Civil Aviation (Restriction of Flying) (Amendment)

Regulations, 2011

IN exercise of the powers conferred by article 43 of

the Authority for Transport in Malta Act, the Minister for

Infrastructure, Transport and Communications has, in consultation

with the Authority for Transport in Malta, made the following

regulations:–

The title of these regulations is the Civil Aviation

(Restriction of Flying) (Amendment) Regulations, 2011 and

they shall be read and construed as one with the Civil Aviation

(Restriction of Flying) Regulations, 2002, hereinafter referred to as

“the principal regulations”.

In regulation 2 of the principal regulations, for the

definition “Director” there shall be substituted the following

“ “Director General” means the Director General

responsible for Civil Aviation in Malta and, to the extent of

the authority given, any person authorised in that behalf by

the Director General;”.

In regulation 3 of the principal regulations, for the

words “throughout the month of June of each year”, there shall be

substituted the words “throughout each of the months of May, June

and July of each year”.

In regulation 4 of the principal regulations, for the words

“the Director”, wherever they appear, there shall be substituted the

words “the Director General”.
