Conservation of Wild Birds (Declaration on a Derogation for a

2011 Spring Hunting Season For Turtledove And Quail)

Regulations, 2011

IN accordance with the provisions of article 61 of the

Environment and Development Planning Act and of regulation 10(6)

of the Conservation of Wild Birds Regulations, and of regulations 3

and 5 of the Conservation of Wild Birds (Framework for Allowing a

Derogation Opening a Spring Hunting Season for Turtledove and

Quail) Regulations, the Prime Minister has made the following

regulations:-

them in the Conservation of Wild Birds Regulations, hereinafter S.L. 504.71

For the purposes of the second proviso to regulation 10(6) Established

of the Wild Birds Regulations and for the purposes of these hunting period.

year 2011, hereinafter in these regulations referred to as "the spring

hunting season", shall be from the 13th April to the 30th April, 2011,

both dates included.

The Spring Hunting Licence shall set the overall Quotas.

bag limit for the spring hunting season at 2,500 for quail and 9,000

for turtledove as the total number of birds which may be hunted under

the authority of all issued licences taken together.

(2) The Spring Hunting Licence shall set the daily bag limit to

one (1) bird and the spring hunting season’s bag limit to four (4) birds

might have been hunted before the season closed.
